8/9/2009 - Seward, AK - Day One

We arrived at Seward and found a camp sight overlooking the waterfront. The weather was great so after getting set up we headed into town to arrange for our boat tour on Tuesday. From there, we went to the Kenai Fjords National Park visitor center and found out what we needed to know about the area. The weather was still holding out, so we drove on up to see the Exit Glacier. We went to the visitor center there and decided to walk on in to see the glacier. The next 5 photos are from various points in our walk to see Exit Glacier. It was pretty impressive and the blue coloring in the glacier is amazing.

Ken noticed this sign on the way up to Exit Glacier so he stopped to take a photo on the way back down. It sounds like our kind of place!

Although it's through an obviously rainy windshield in the RV, the next few photos are of a cruise ship leaving the harbor on the day we arrived. It backed up to a point in front of the RV then pivots around before it is headed out and on it's way to it's next destination.
