9/18/12–Port Townsend, WA

We drove to Port Townsend on Tuesday 9/18/12.  Our first stop was to check out a local seafood market.  After that stop we continued our drive through the marina area and timed it just right to watch the Lady Washington being launched.  You can read more about it in the link, but is the state’s tall ship that will be sent to Gray’s Harbor soon.  It was also featured in one of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

After watching the Lady Washington for quite a while, we headed into the downtown area for lunch at the Silverwater Café.  We both ordered a crab & shrimp melt over an English muffin.  It was okay, but we both agreed that it was lacking in flavor and could have used some additional spices or something else to enhance the taste of it.  After lunch, we took a few photos around the waterfront.
