We took it easy on our last full day in Seward and took a drive on the road heading south as far as we could go by truck. It wasn't far before we came across this glacial waterfall close to the road. If we had been here a week or so ago, there had been flooding conditions and it was obvious there was a lot of work completed to open this road again.
As we drove back to town, Ken noticed a large bird headed toward a car parked along the road. As we got closer, we found a place to park and watch. Not too far from where we parked the bird which was an immature bald eagle came to rest on a log jutting out from the road. We must have watched for a half hour or more before we headed on done the road. The eagle patiently sat there as several cars stopped to see what was going on.
